touring canada

Post by Spav1 » Wed Dec 11, 2013 3:11 pm

As a very entusiastic sidecar rider over here in the UK, we are now looking at bringing our outfit over next year to Halifax and then touring for a couple of weeks ( main reason my brother has emigrated a few years ago and has recently moved to Truro). Can any one tell me when the main sidecar rallies are and where in Canada as we would like to coincide our visit with CSOC main rally. attached hopefully is a pic of our outfit in France this year.

We haven't looked at a date for next year's rally quite yet (but soon as one is picked it will be on this site and forum) It will likely be in Ennismore, Ontario again (near Peterborough, Ontario) next year.

As for sidecar rallies in general - not a whole lot of those, mostly other motorcycle rallies with a group of sidecars around. I'll see if I can dig up some suggestions for you and post them on here when I get a chance (but dates for most events tend to be announced around March or after)

We can certainly see if we can get some riders together to meet up with you at various points and we can recommend a few things to see. A couple of weeks might be a bit tight to go coast to coast (if that is your plan) but that partly depends on the speed of your rig.

Sounds like a great trip idea, and I think you will have a blast! Anything we can do to help, let us know

Welcome to the forum! I hope you can time your holiday for when the Ennismore Rally takes place; it was an awesome time this year and next year will only get better. Like Jamie said, two weeks is a pretty tight schedule to see all of Canada. Just as an example, the driving distance from Halifax to the Ennismore rally is 1746km, a minimum two full days of driving.

Your picture did not show up on your post, perhaps you could try again and/or tell us what it is.
